Are you tired of hearing about our move(s) yet? If not read on...
We went to sign the lease yesterday. My husband had them change it from a six-month lease to a month to month lease. After he told me I got to wondering if they remembered to change the move in day from the 8th to the 10th. So I called over and of course the lady typing the lease up had no idea what I was talking about. She said she would have the boss call me when she got back. Before we hung up I asked if she could find the 30 days notice paper I submitted and tell me what date I said we would move out was. She pulled it and it said DEC. 12! I had them over a barrel! They can't make me move out till the 12th! It puts them in a pickle because they have to get it ready for the next renter who takes it over on the 14th I think. I didn't cause this problem they did! She said she didn't know why the other guy scheduled it this way but we could have thru the 12. Neener neener neener! On top of that they are charging me LESS than the amount the guy quoted me AND there was no mention of the 200 dollar charge for going to a monthly lease! We are saving lots of money! I'm happy that they are so unorganized over there!
We managed to get some help rounded up to move us from this building to the other. It is a lot of work to do for a couple of weeks but there really isn't any way around it. So I'll have the stuff moved on Saturday and I'll get it all cleaned on Sunday. Monday afternoon we fly out to LA. It's gonna be crazy! My husband thinks they were planning to move us before Christmas but I think I'll suggest (when we meet the new boss) that we wait at least till the day after Christmas. At least we'd have a normal holiday. We will see. The new boss is pretty laid back and very personable.
So much to do so little time. Thanks for hanging in there with me. Hopefully I'll have something new to talk about soon!

Moving SUCKS. I would rather cut off my right arm, yes, my good arm, my writing, throwing, baton twirling arm, than to have to move again! I wish you luck and sanity!
I am planning to put an addition on my house and in the process pretty much renovate the rest of the house from the basement to the attic and I have no idea what I'll do with all of my stuff while this is going on. Maybe I'll just lay it all in the yard and let the neighbors pick at it like it's a yard sale. UUGGH! The horror!
Wow, you sure do have a lot going on! But good luck with your move. Just stay organized and everything will be so much more smoothier for ya!
good luck
So you are keeping the same landlord right? That bit confused me.
