Well if all goes as planned the movers will be here today to pack all my crap up. I've packed everything I think we will need for the next couple of weeks staying in the hotel. I hope I remembered all the really important stuff! I'm hoping they will leave out a few blankets for us to use since we will still be staying in this apt tonight. I wonder if they will let me leave out a little t.v. so we have something to do? They are supposed to load the truck with our stuff on Thursday.
My husband returns Thursday afternoon. I'm hoping to have the apt cleaned up and be ready to turn in the keys before the office closes for the day. Then I wanna hit the road. The plan is to stop in Amarillo to break up the drive a little for my little car sick boy. Friday we will be off to Denison TX. To see my mom and crash there for the night. We haven't decided if we will break the last leg of the trip up too, or if we will try to push on in one day. Our reservations for the hotel start on the first of January.
I'm still having moments of terror over the house we chose. It is perfect for us, really it is. It is 3 times as large as our old house! The mortgage probably will be too! That is what scares me! I'm a cheapskate at heart and I was hoping to find a house like this one for the price of my old house. Can I tell you that that was an impossibility? The numbers work out, we don't have nearly as much debt as we did when we bought the old house so things will be different so why am I worrying? Because I'm me and that's what I do!
I'll probably be incommunicado for a while and unable to check in on you or update my blog. (Unless our hotel has a computer I can have access to.) I hope you won't abandon me. In the mean time I hope you all have a Happy New Year! Be careful don't drink and drive. (You know how I worry!) Take care of yourselves!
See you on the "other side"!

We'll await your triumphant return with bated breath, although how someone bates their breath eludes me. I'll get back to you on that.
God's Blessings for you!!
Take a deep breath and blow out slowly. Relax, everything will work out fine. Let us hear from you when you get settled and tell us about the trip. Don't worry about me on New Years, I don't drink at all. If I drink something it will be a bottle of sparkling grape juice..Good luck!
Be careful, be safe and I'll see ya when ya get back! God bless and have a wondeful New Year!!
good luck. Have a safe trip!
Good luck you guys! Drive safely, and let us know when you get settled in :)

Hi OGO! I have not, nor will I abandon you, although I have been a little MIA lately myself! The holidays have been a little nuts for me too, although not nearly as stressful as your last few weeks!
I hope that you and your family had a wonderful Christmas and New Year's. I am so excited for you and your move into the new, beautiful house. I am a worry wart too and I would be stressing out myself but everything will work out I know it. Soon you will be happy in your new digs. Next time we head down to NoLa I'm gonna shoot you an email and maybe we can all meet up for a much needed cocktail! HAPPY NEW YEAR OGO and CCB too!
