I finally got to start one of my painting projects yesterday. My daughter endured sharing a room with her little brother for nearly two years. So we promised to let her design her room. She finally settled on a plan. (It has changed several times.) She chose a comforter with circles and squares all over it in both pastel and bright colors. So we are painting her walls a light blue and we are going to paint circles on her walls to mirror the bedspread. Today we started painting the walls blue we didn't quite get it all done before her brother woke up but it was a good start.
The design is a little more "big girl" than her daddy would like. We have ALWAYS teased her that she had to be our baby forever and she simply isn't complying! I do think she will be happy longer with this plan than our earlier one, she would have outgrown it quickly. When we finish I'll post a picture.
On a totally unrelated note.....I saw an interview with Tanya Harding tonight. All I can think is that I wish people would stop giving her air time. Why is she famous? Cuz she had someone clubbed. Whatever.

That sounds very cute. My daughter had me paint her walls PIMP PURPLE in our old home. It was purple! Kind of cool tho!
It's great that you let her have so much input. It's true that kids outgrow things quickly, but we can hardly hold that against them. They're growing! They need to self-express!
Of course, if you make her paint a wall or two, she'll think twice about wanting a switch up anytime soon.

Btw, we told our son that he too has to stay our baby forever! For some reason he is not listening...he keeps getting bigger everyday!
I bet if I club someone I wouldn't get nearly that much publicity - let alone years after it actually happened.
I hate that fat ass - Tonya Harding that is. She needs to go away and stay away for good before someone clubs her bloated knees. Wow, that was really mean.
