Random crap

I'm just sitting here sippin my hazelnut latte and nibbling on my brown sugar and cinnamon pop tart (with no icing) trying to come up with a post. It seems I'm not alone in having trouble coming up with something to say these days. Gotta....push.....through the..... writers..... block...I'm just going with the random thoughts bouncing around in my head.

-Veggie Tales rock.

-I was really saddened to hear about Dana Reeves death. It really seems so tragic for a boy to lose both of his parents in such a short period of time.

-I tried Ghirardelli's Twilight Delight Intense Dark chocolate last night. It's 72% "Cacao". All I can tell you is it was BLISS. Barely sweet and oh so yummy.

-Anyone know why my feet hurt when I first get up in the morning? I have been laying down all night and yet my heels hurt when I start walking in the morning. It's weird.

-My daughters room is coming along. After painting the walls we decided that all the trim needed to be painted. It was a kinda reddish wood color, we were gonna leave it but it's just too dark. The fact that my daughter got blue paint on it didn't hurt either. The problem is the wood was stained and it looks like it was varnished as well so painting the trim is taking forever. I can't tell you how many coats I've put on it! I DO have one wall with it's circles pretty much done. I'll post a picture soon. It's coming out pretty cool if I do say so myself.

-I wanted to put a garden in on the side of my house this year but when I started raking up the leaves there I got quite discouraged. I don't think the last owners paid this part of the yard any mind and the sheer volume of leaves is daunting! There isn't a whole lot in the way of weeds or plants to clear out just a ton of leaves. It's hard to get motivated on that project now. We'll see.

-I called the previous owner of my house to tell her she had mail again. It must not be important to her because two weeks have passed. I tried to put things back in the mail box for the mail man but since the flag is broken off of the mail box (Yet another project for me!)he didn't bother. In yesterdays mail one of the envelopes said "can't be delivered as addressed return to sender" BUT it was STILL delivered to us! We moved in here on Jan 17th, it's now March 8th. I think I'm gonna gather it up and take it to the post office and let them deal with it. She is the one that asked us to give her a call to get her mail, I've done my part.

-I am so lovin' the weather around here. I've already dipped into my summer clothes. I'll say it again, it's MARCH! There are so many trees in my neighborhood it reminds me of being in the mountains of Colorado. We live about a block and a half from the main road here in town and you don't even hear the traffic, unless it's some bonehead peeling out.

-Two of my faves are calling it quits. I'm really sad they are leaving they were both clever, intelligent and a joy to read. I'm thankful they let us know they were leaving instead of just walking away with no explanation. "Weiher'd words" and "Happy and Blue 2" you will be missed.
