Dis and Dat

Saturday morning I was in the shower shaving my legs when I felt it. I had only just started the second leg when that familiar jolt of pain shot through my back. I immediately straightened up but it was too late. It was only a matter of time before the pain got to the point I couldn't stand up straight. Why did it have to happen on CCB's long day at work. He wouldn't be able to help me till 9 o'clock that night! I got out of the shower, dressed, and made my bed. Hey, I have priorities! I hate to have a messy bed. I may have avoided further injury by hanging out on the heating pad for the rest of the day. I was actually able to get some rest that night. Sunday I felt much better but I know better than to push it. I can't afford to spend another week on the floor! Not with a 2 year old in the house.

CCB and my daughter have a vacation coming up! CCB scheduled his to coincide with my daughters "Easter break" no spring break apparently. He hasn't taken a whole week off since 2004. We haven't had them BOTH on vacation at the same time in forever! I'm so excited! The count down has begun. He starts his on the 15th, hers starts on the 14th. I have to get this back healed so we can have some fun and get some projects done! SHHHHH don't tell CCB I said that!

I baked my cookies for the neighbor the other day but no one was home at their house till I was ready for bed. The same thing happened the next day. I wasn't able to deliver their cookie bag until Sunday. I gave the cookies to the daughter and thanked her for her concern. I told her I thought it was a brave thing for them to do. She gave me a hug and told me I was sweet and thanked me for the cookies. I still have no idea what her name is.

I have been sitting in this chair for too long. I'm starting to ache. Gotta go stretch this old back of mine out for awhile. I hope you have a fantastical Monday!

I hope your back is feeling better soon, I've had bouts of it on and off for years.

I had a RTA last year which left me with a whiplash injury and off work for weeks. I bought a Hitachi Magic Wand, before I looked on the internet and realised that it's not *just* used for aches and pains :) It sure did the trick!!!

Gabby-He has had a vacation week but he broke it up to use for long weekends. This year he is back to two weeks vacation.

Ann-I have a Panasonic "Easy Reach" we bought when I was pregnant the first time. It is AMAZING what that thing can do!

Ooh sorry about that back pain! That's so crappy! That's great about CCB's vacation time, though. Enjoy the time with them, and hopefully you'll be 100% better by then! Take it easy on your back for now, though, you don't want to injure it more!

My kids get a four day weekend also called spring break. They had the last 2 fridays off- two days that could have been added to this week. But no, no one is allowed to take a vacation. I am so tempted to take off anyway- but it isn't happening. Sorry about the back pain, I know about that and it sucks. Have fun on your break and do lots of family stuff. Make sure you let us know what you are doing!

My husband has a bad back and we have discovered that if he puts ice on it immediately after pulling it that it heals faster. He also take some anti-inflamitory pills at the same time.

Have fun on your spring break.
