Random crap...again.

Well, it's Friday. Finally. It has been a very long week in my opinion. I didn't change my sleeping habits from CCB's week off so those late nights are killing me! I'm sure looking forward to Saturday! I don't have anything specific in mind today so let's just see what happens here,OK?

I think my cat is losing his ever loving mind. We've been in this house 3 1/2 months now and about 3 weeks ago he started peeing on the wall/floor! He hasn't sprayed anything for years! I figured if the previous owners had pets he would have done something like this immediately not 3 months later! AND he did it right in front of me! He didn't even employ any stealthy maneuvers! I got him to stop doing it in the front room but now he's hitting the hall in front of my closet hard! Most of the time it doesn't smell but sometimes........ He is about 14 years old. Which is old but not the high end of a cat's potential life expectancy. *sigh* What to do?

My neighbors God daughter is staying over at her house again and Taylor got to go play with her last night. I SO hope they can develop a friendship. It seems like they come to visit often so that would be fantastic for the summer. It's coming fast. School is out on the 19th of May!

I kinda want a dog. I don't want the pains that come with them though. I hate cleaning up the yard after them. I hate having to make arrangements for them when we go out of town. I hate the power struggles that come up between a dog and my cat. I love the unconditional love. I love the protection they offer. I love the camaraderie with the children. Again what to do?

I didn't tell you my point of view on yesterdays question. Here goes (keep in mind I haven't seen the movie): I have conflicting thoughts on this. On one hand it seems slimy for anyone to make a profit off the story. Kinda like Hollywood chasing ambulances you know? On the other hand I realize that just because the images are burned in my memory there will be a whole generation of people who have no memory of this. I think the story needs to be recorded accurately for our children and grandchildren. I have heard that they have had lots of input from the families which is good. Will I see it? I doubt it. The trailers alone reduce me to tears and I can't imagine being able to sit through the entire film. Is it to soon? It feels like it to me, but if too much time goes by I'm afraid some of the truth might get lost . I just hope they get the story right. No creative liberties should be taken. There now you know what I think.

We are getting our first visitors to our new home in June! My mother-in-law, brother-in-law, his wife and 3 children. We'll have quite a flurry of activity around here! Now I'm in a panic over what projects need to be kicked into high gear for their visit. We moved from a MUCH smaller place into this house so now we don't have enough stuff to fill it! To my liking that is. Yet between fixing issues with the house, paying fees and charges to the great state of Louisiana and my goal of paying off credit cards I can't justify spending the money on new furniture! That was fine till the family said they were coming. Now I find myself questioning my decisions!

CCB is off this weekend so I better go get my housework done. I like to spend my time with him when he's home as opposed to cleaning a toilet or doing laundry. I hope you all have a lovely weekend!

There's plenty of places to sit and sleep be assured. It's just not as "decorated" as I'd like it to be I guess.

Credit card debt...We hadn't used cards forever and I was paying off the balances till we made this move. Between buying a house and living in a hotel for 17 days it took it's toll. We are on our way to recovery though!

You should ask your vet about your cat. That seems wierd. I totally get ya on the dog issue, I want the dog without the responsibility. The only way that can happen is if I morph myself back to the age of 10! :)

Has your cat been neutered? Mine has been done, he still does the actions but try as he might nothing comes out. I'd love a dog too, but like you say it's the responsibility that puts me off getting one.

Have a great weekend!

I have a dog, and it was a big mistake. Well, getting a puppy was a mistake anyway. It might be different had we gotten a trained dog, or got pick the dog out together as a family. Anyway, they are lots of work, chew on stuff, pee everywhere too, bark at strangers and strange dogs, eat the butter and anything else they can scavenge, and are very very needy with attention.

I wish I had a cat. Anyway, jsut saying that you should be careful about getting a dog and don't wpend too much money on them.
