Coming to...

It feels like it's been forever since I've posted. It probably has been. I have felt like hammered crap for so long that I wonder what normal feels like. It appears that I will have to wait a while to find out too. My "illness" will last until January. I'm pregnant.

I'm still coming to grips with it. As this was not planned by any means. It took 5 years of trying before we were able to conceive my son. That was a relief. This, was well, quite a surprise. If I'm going to be honest with you all, as I always am, I'll tell you I'm not exactly happy with this turn of events. It has taken me a week to climb out of a very dark place. I'm still climbing and things are looking better but I'm not quite out yet. Give me some time. I'll get there. I think it was the shock of it all. I thought I was done with this stage of my life. Ya know? Each day the idea grows on me a little bit more. I'm sure I'll come around. I have to.

I was sick with my first child for most of the pregnancy. Which was bad, but I had no other children to care for so I was able to baby myself. With my second pregnancy my daughter was old enough she could let mom take a nap if she needed to. Now. Well my two year old just doesn't understand all this. Each time he found me hanging my head over the toilet he'd tell me,"close up! close up!" Meaning he wanted me to put the lid of the toilet back in place. I was not EVER this sick with either of the others (I've lost 5 lbs!) so lets just hope that it is harsh but really short. Yeah, that would be good.

I hope you have all been well. Give me some time to get around to you. I'll get there. By the way it's nice to see Techymike and Chick. You both have been sorely missed.

Wow, what a surprise! Good luck with the pukiness, I hope it passes, well before January!

Any chance you can get a friend to help out with the 2 year old while CCB is at work?

wow! I wasn't expecting that. Your emotions are exactly what Kym and I felt when we found out she was pregnant upon returing from the honeymoon. (maybe not exactly, but it wasn't a welcomed original thought) I hope that you, like we did, come all the way around and accept the blessing .

I hope you at least start to feel better!

Bekah-I hope it passes well before January too. It has eased up significantly. The doc gave me some meds if I need them.

Tim-I'm sure I'll come around. It was quite a shock to say the least. Thank you.

Hopefully you will indeed be blessed with a brief ill run. My wife was sick as a dog with our second but it was mercifully only for three weeks. Our daughter (also 2 at the time) was utterly mystified that Mommy didn't want to play.

Woops!

That's a pretty big surprise that your body played on you. It's so funny that you can have secrets on yourself.

I'll save my congratulations for when you're feeling more like receiving them...but if it helps at all, I think accidental babies are a pretty good breed.

OMG!!! CONGRATULATIONS and I am SO sorry that you are so sick. See what kids do? Ungrateful little shits...I mean, precious little angels!

Well, I hope the idea grows on you, well, it will more and more each day whether you like it or not but I am very happy for you and CCB, or whoever the lucky man is, the tree man perhaps? JUST KIDDING!
