Of flattery and creepiness!

Yesterday was one of the nicest days EVER! It was in the seventies with a nice breeze. I worked out in the yard most of the day. When ever my son would let me that is. He has been grooving on Thomas the train for some reason and he wants it on even when he isn't watching. Go figure. Anyway. I cleaned up some of the debris that the tree guy left behind and cleaned up the planter boxes. They had strange plants all over them. There was no rhyme or reason it looked like a mess but not anymore!

Speaking of the tree guy... I forgot to tell you. He was a lovely man. He gave me tips on where to go for all sorts of services, air conditioning repair and pest control etc. We had a lovely conversation and lots of it. He had broken his back and neck at some time and had to limit the amount of physical labor he did. So he spent lot's of time gabbing. After I paid him he said,"Well, we gotta get down the road." So I took my son and we went in the back yard. I closed the gate behind me. While we were playing I saw the big truck with the tree parts pull away, I assumed the other truck had as well. A little time goes by and I hear,"Ma'am Ma'am!" I looked around the corner to see him standing at my gate. He said he called his office to get a phone number for one of the people he had told me about. I didn't have any paper, how was I supposed to remember this. He had already told me the name of the company. I could look it up easily enough. I repeated it back to him thinking that would be that. Instead he lingered with more chit chat. There were long pauses and it became quite uncomfortable. It was starting to creep me out. Finally he winked at me and turned to leave. I can't tell you how long the actual interaction was but it felt like forever. Needless to say my husband wants to be home next time we have any tree work done.

Maybe he was flirting. Which would be flattering under most circumstances. It's just that he waited until his crew was gone and it was just me and him and a two year old. Maybe I'm just being overly sensitive. It wouldn't be the first time.

Yep, definitely flirting. Just shows you've still "got it" and can still turn heads!!!!

Isn't it annoying that even though that whole incident was probably innocuous, you end up wondering if it was your fault?

Well, it's done and over with. I wouldn't worry about it.
