No one ever told me I would turn into a big ole softy when I had kids. We passed an accident on Sunday and the back end of a sedan had been smashed in by a semi. I started getting all teary because all I could think about was, were there children in the back seat? I immediately put myself in the shoes of any mother who's baby is sick or hurt. I can't help it.
Someone should have told me how catchy the songs on children's shows are. I have been walking around with the theme from "Big big world" in my head for nearly a week!
You don't forget those songs either! My daughter will be 10 this month and when my son watches Barney all the words come flooding back from the days when I watched with my daughter. They just won't go away!
I didn't realize it until my husband pointed it out to me but I drive different too. When I was younger I was a fairly aggressive driver. I don't mean that I had road rage, that's not my thing. I drive slower now than I used to and I am a heck of a lot more cautious. I have precious cargo on board and I'll be darned if I'm gonna take chances when they are in my care.
No one told me how precious a hot bath would be when the door is closed and LOCKED. Even though there are little fingers poking underneath the door, a constant knocking and my name being called out over and over and over........I'm alone.
I'm sure there are more but my baby boy is awake now and he needs some JUICE!
Have a lovely Tuesday everyone!

I was known as the speed machine before I had my son. He has def changed the way I drive...I use turn signals now! :-)
I am that way now and I have no children. : )
OGO---just wait until those darlings are in their twenties and you discover that parenthood is a LIFELONG commitment and how could they not see what a charming/clever/efficient/winning/warmhearted kid my child is before they fired him?

one
ummm...not superpets... WONDERPETS
That's it
my brain is gone
I'll be thinking with my stomach from now on
Where are the Twinkies?
ha ha...looking forward to it one day...I THINK!
I think my sisters and I must not have been too precious because my mother drives more recklessly every year.
That kids music is terrifying. Just imagine what it can do to a developing brain if it digs in that far on a grownup one!!
Baths.... bath? Oh what is that? No, I understand. I do this, too.
And Barney is evil.
