Why I oughta......

I was playing Backgammon online yesterday. When I play I like to say hello then I wait to see if the other player is chatty or not. I don't want to annoy them but I like to tell them "good play" or "nice roll" now and then. Well the person I was playing had chat turned on so I said "hello" they replied and we started to play. They rolled double fives which was gonna seal my fate. I said "nice roll" they replied "it was luck" then they turned off chat. To be honest I was a little ticked off by this but it was no big deal.

THEN....The next game went my way and right after I beat them they turned chat back on. They said, "It was luck" and turned chat back off so I couldn't reply! Do you believe the nerve! He said I won because of luck! Like there was no strategy or skill involved! That's when I turned my chat off and decided I was gonna show them who was boss. They would be sorry! Well, I lost anyway. Probably because they made me mad and I didn't think clearly. Yeah, that's it. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

They could have been nicer to you, you were just being polite. Dice rolls are luck, but it is the meaningful choices you make after the diceroll that ensure that the game isn't entirely luck based.

Oh, Baby...If you want you can beat me. And I never turn chat off. Even when you do roll double fives!
