I've been sitting here writing a post or two to post for our anniversary. Recounting our history together and some of my favorite memories. I started writing for my blogging friends but as I progressed I found myself writing more to CCB. I decided that was a sign so I decided to forego the other posts and simply write to him.
My dearest CCB,
We have been together for 14 years now twelve of them married. Do you realize I've spent something like 41% of my life with you? Is it any wonder then that I can't seem to remember a life before you? These years with you have been nothing short of incredible. Through trials and loss. Through joyous events and mundane activities. It's been you there holding my hand, wiping my tears and giving me your "smiley eyes". You have shown me your capacity for love and it blows my mind. I am truly blessed to have found you.
I knew I loved you the day we said our vows. I never could have guessed how much that love would grow. You have been an amazing husband, lover, friend and co-conspiritor I couldn't ask for more. I look forward to growing old with you, chasing our grandchildren, eating dinner at 4, and complaining about our aches and pains. It will be quite an adventure. One I'm happy to embark on if you are by my side.
Jeez, I look back over this and see how plain jane it is. I had hoped this would be a moving profession of my love instead it is mediocre at best. We both know that I'm not the one gifted with writing talent. I hope you can at least come away from reading this knowing that I adore you. You are my all.
Forever yours,
OGO

You are the one who has been amazing. You have moved all over the USA with me. We have endured trials and triumphs, but always we have emerged stronger and more connected. I wouldn't have wanted to spend these years any other way or with anyone else. I love you.
You two are very lucky to have found each other. Love shows more in the small mundane things. You show your love when you buy his favorite pickles at the store, when you rub his back when it hurts, when you shave the back of his neck because he can't do that, when you cook his favorite meal and so on. To me it's the little things that show you care.
Sticking together thru thick and thin makes your love grow. A good marriage isn't always a rose garden, it's a roller coaster. There will be lots of ups and downs and those that make it work are the ones that survive them.
Congradulations on your 14th.
how sweet...best married couple ever~!
It wasn't mediocre at all - it was soooo sweet. Happy Anniversary, you too!! May you have many, many more!
Just gets better as time goes on. I think it is just experienceing life together that does it.
That's so sweet, far from being plain it brought a tear to my eye.
Happy 14th anniversary OGO and CCB!
What a wonderful post to your honey!!! How sweet...and happy anniversary to you both!!
I thought it was simple and beautiful and I hope that I can say these words and feel this way towards my soon to be husband in the next 12 years!
