I'm feeling a little stressed out today. My husband has a visit from a "big wig" with is company today, and it's my daughters first day of school. When my husband accepted the transfer to come here he knew that it would be a challenge to turn the business around. It has indeed become a challenge. The changes and standards he's trying to introduce are being met with resistance from the "long time" employees. "We've never done it that way before" and "It's always been that way." I just hope that this "big wig" will be able to see all the good he has done and give him what he needs to finish cleaning up the messes left by previous managers. It's so frustrating!
On top of that my daughter returns to school today. (Am I the only parent in America that doesn't daydream about sending their kids back to school?) The plan was for me to take her in a little early this morning to help her find her class and meet her teacher, because believe it or not they didn't want me to come in before school started to meet him. (Wouldn't that have been a little less hectic?) Oh well...This didn't happen. Why? Because my husbands truck has been having engine trouble so he has been driving my car. He was going to stay at home so I could let my son sleep while I got my daughters class stuff sorted out. Remember, I told you a "big wig" was coming today. Yeah well, my CCB went in extra early to make sure everything was ready for him. So there was no vehicle to take my daughter to school with! I had to send her on the bus and she will have to find her class on her own. I have no doubt in my mind that she will be able to complete this task. I just wanted to be there to help her out and reduce the anxiety (hers or mine?) of the first day. She's getting so big, I won't be able to "do" for her much longer.
Other than that things are great! Have a good Wednesday everyone.

Man, I can't believe school has started so early for her! I just know I too am going to dread my son going to school. I love all the time we spend together.
Was it her VERY first day? As in Kindergarten? I'm sorry you are having a bummy day! It seems like a lot of my blogger buddies are going through rough times right now..hmmm must be the global warming?
Trinity- It does seem early doesn't it?
Gabby- I have intentionally left out details about CCB's work. If I tell you I'd have to kill you. I'd hate to have to do that.
Slade-No it's not her VERY first day, she's in fifth grade this year. It is the first time she's been at this school on the first day(she started in the middle of the year last year). Kind of a new system to navigate you know?
Thanks for the love, OGO. I appreciate that you're thinking about me!
hugggggggs
I'm sure your daughter did just fine on her first day of school. The best way to meet the teacher is with a phone call or an email. Our school district usually has an open house withing the first two weeks of school.
Hopefully your husband had a good day with the upper management.
You know what? My kids are 38, 36 and 26, and I still do for them...you just do different stuff.
