Mish mash!

My son is feeling much better these days. His legs seem to be back to normal and not so stiff and he's back to his high energy self. What a relief. I hate it when he's puny and I can't fix it.

CCB's blood work came back and it's all fine. If the symptoms persist we have to go to a neurologist. That's what the lady said to me on the phone. CCB tried to call them back to get a little more info and to have them call in his RX to the pharmacy but they haven't called him back. It's been 2 days now. RRRR!

It seems my son has developed a fear of the his closet. He refuses to go in to get any toys or books with out me being present. I don't have to enter the closet with him, he just needs to know I'm nearby. I tried to get him to do it himself while I was cooking last night."It's ok" I told him. "NOk" he replied through his tears. He also refuses to play in his room unless someone is with him. He brings his toys out to the living room. My daughter would play in her room all the time. She could care less whether I was there or not. He is a whole new story. It's making me crazy!

I have cooked again all this week! We did eat out a couple of times last weekend but it was our anniversary so we didn't count that. I've made Sweet and spicy chicken and veggies. Very yummy it had lots of curry in it. We had a marinated round steak that even my daughter ate! Probably because it had a lot of soy sauce flavor. I'm convinced that trying these new recipes is making it easier to stay at home instead of eating out. I think it will become easier and easier to do. I remember when I was a kid, eating at a restaurant was a treat. My kids were starting to expect it any time we left the house. That really bothered me. A happy side affect would be more $$$ in our pockets at the end of the month. We'll see how this experiment goes.

Thanks to Barnze I have started playing Dominoes online. My grandmother taught me the game when I was a kid and when I got good at it we started to play for nickles and dimes. I had forgotten how much I enjoyed that game. Since I started playing it made me think of my Granny and I had to give her a call to let her know I was thinking of her. We had a great visit. All because Barnze mentioned Dominoes. Thanks again Barnze!

I'm loving how things grow down here in the south. I've got things blooming and thriving all over my yard! They say this area has been in a drought, it's the greenest drought I've ever seen! I came from southern Colorado and the middle of New Mexico. Those places are dry! I couldn't get things to grow to save my life! I'm so enthusiastic about gardening and such now that I have a chance at success. Watch out neighbors!

I just realized I didn't say much about my daughter in this post. It makes me feel guilty if I talk about one and not the other. Or I take ones picture and not the other. She is fabulous by the way. Still struggling a little with making new friends but I think she's trying (a little).

Have I bored you enough yet with my rambling? I just kinda let things roll this morning. Didn't think of whether they fit together or not. Now it seems a little long. Oh well.

I'm glad your boys are looking fine! What a relief!!!

My son also gets irrational fears. For a while, my son wouldn't even go upstairs without me near him. But, he soon grew out of it as I know your son will as well.

Have a great weekend!

Glad the boy's feeling better and your daughter is doing well too. She'll make friends, don't you worry!

When i was little I was afraid to flush the toilet! Weird huh?

Sounds like you are doing a lot of cooking. I love to cook and I am with you, when I was young, although we did it most weekends, eating out was a treat. We always ate at home during the week. Trying new recipes is so much fun though. I hope you're enjoying it. Your family will benefit tremendously, I promise!

I had the same thought about Monsters Inc---I loved that movie. Of course, I do have a few years on your little guy.....

It's crazy how kids from the same family will develop so differently. What are genes anyway?
