It's 7:47 and my eyes are already burning. My aching back has made sleep elusive. I think the back is getting better though. I can stand completely upright today. No Neanderthal nuckle dragging here!
I've had an issue as of late with Direct TV. No I don't have direct t.v. My house is wired for it, and the dish is still on the outside of my house but we don't use it. THAT is not what is ticking me off. I've been receiving confirmation calls from them. It seems they are calling to confirm appointments with various different customers for installation but instead of calling the customers they call me. The first few times I just let the answering machine pick up the calls. Then I felt bad because I thought of the people who weren't receiving the calls and how they may be missing out or getting taken off guard by the knock at their door. So I started answering. They have called me for THREE DIFFERENT people. When I tell the service man my issue he says, "it's ok, I have another number for them." That's not my point DUDE!
I've talked to their office too. They called for some installation issue as well. I told her what was going on and she apologized but said there was nothing she could do. HOW are they getting my number confused with everyone else's number? I would understand if people called here looking for the same store, or same restaurant or the same phone sex operator each time, maybe my number is similar to a business's number, but instead it's the SAME people calling me for DIFFERENT people each time! ARG! It's annoying the crap out of me.
That last paragraph probably only makes sense to me but what do you expect I'm tired!!!
Sure Happy It's Tuesday.

I would really make me mad, too. And when I get mad, I get rude, so I'd probably respond that the person they were asking for is recently deceased, and to please update their information.
Ah...just go with it...confirm the appointments & get on with your day.
I've had people calling my cell # about a piece of property that they think I'm selling...at first I told them they had the wrong # (I have no land to sell...but I can sell them a bridge...& cheap)...now...if a woman calls...I tell her that I only do business with men...if a man calls...yep...I only do business with women...the calls are slowly stopping (& I might be getting sued?).
Back pain is the worst. Have you tried elevating your legs on a couple of cushions?
As for the phone calls I'd call corporate - saying there's nothing they can do is unacceptale. Meanwhile change your outgoing message to include your family's name. Make a point that you will not be accepting messages for any other names.Good Luck!
I would insist on free service since they bothering you!
We get a call from Direct TV all the time, It's from a woman who says, "Hi this is Lisa, remember we talked the other day." My husband says, "Bye Lisa" and just hangs up on her. He's tired of Lisa calling every day. I tease him by saying that it must be his girl friend.
I think they are using any way they can to get you to talk to them. What they don't understand is they are pissing everybody off.
You're so sweet, even when they are bugging you, you are thinking of the people that aren't getting service calls.
I had that happen to me with comcast ONCE...not 16 times. Good luck with that, Get some sleep
I HATE TELEMARKETERS! I HATE PHONE SOLICITING OF ANY KIND! SEND ME A LETTER! That way I at least get the joy of burning something!
