Recently I had decided I needed to get back to working out. Clothes....feeling....too....tight......Then I tweaked my back. I knew that would slow down how soon I could get back to Mr. Billy Blanks and TAE BO. Then my neighbor lady called and asked if I'd like to take a walk. It was perfect. Low impact yet still exercise. We walked a mile the first day. It felt so good to get out and get some exercise. The fresh air was great even if it was hot.
Today was the third day of walking. Yesterday we did a mile and a half today we did two miles. I tend to walk a little faster than my counterpart and I have to keep slowing down but it's still fun. Just knowing I'm doing something does me good.
My son seems to be enjoying the walks as well. I thought he'd get restless and want to get out of his stroller but he's been a dream. I was afraid that it would be a disruption to his schedule and he would resist it. He has surprised me, he likes his routines, but he's taken to this.
Sort of a boring post I know but it's all I got today.

Awesome! I am super sore from working out this week. I am sooo out of shape. I only worked out two days too! How sad.
I love walking with the dogs and with Mark. Walking is such a nicer and more enjoyable activity when you have someone to talk to!
Right now I'm in love with my stationary bike because it feels like a real bike, but I don't have to be outside in this killer LA weather. Although it is really gorgeous here today.
BTW, There's a chance I'll be in Zachary on Saturday, are you close to that? (It's north of BR.)
I am sure walking is really relaxing to him...and he probably like the scenary too!
good for you!
You forgot about his kickin' shades!
Good for you. Nothing helps me more than a good workout...& I'm talking...helps me mentally much more than physically. Really, it does.
I love taking walks...such great exercise! My son also loves them. He really enjoys our short walk every night.
Ahhh, I love taking walks. When I was young my parents would take us on walks after dinner when it had cooled down a little and so we could digest our food. It was so nice. My mom still walks with her neighbor friends almost every morning. I'm glad your son loves it too. It's a good influence for hopefully a lifetime of exercise and healthy living. You're a good mom OGO!
