There oughta be a rule that when some one tries to brighten your day you should at least acknowledge their existence. I went to Walmart this morning to pick up some groceries. I had to stand in line forever because there was some issue with the ladies check. (She ended up leaving without her groceries.) I waited till my turn and she started to scan my items. I looked at her and said a cheery,"Good morning! How are you today?" without looking at me she uttered a grunt in my direction and kept going. Later I thanked her for leaving out the "Nem nem's" (m&m's) my son picked out, she didn't even acknowledge me. I understand how tedious that job can be. I know that she has to deal with crappy customers all day. I wasn't one of them! I tried to be a "bright spot" if you will and she wouldn't allow it. I hope she finds whoever peed in her post toasties cuz they need their butt kicked!
My son started to gag on some ham at lunch and barfed. I spilled it on me when I turned too fast. Then about 30 minutes later while running to the front door he fell on the tile floor. I knew it was a doozie because he didn't get back up. He just laid their crying. It looks like he busted his lip open. It's hard to tell where the blood was coming from it was on his teeth and his lip. It's a little bit swollen but not to bad. He won't let me touch it to inspect it to much but from what I can see the inside of his lip is all bruised.
My daughters bus was 30 minutes late this morning! Yesterday we barely made it on time, today we waited, we got to the stop at the same time we always do! This bus driver makes me crazy! I was worried we missed it for quite a while till I saw another kid down the street waiting too. I was tempted to get Boy up and drive her to school but then I decided if it was the bus driver who was late then they couldn't count it against her so we waited. I'm glad we did.
Complaining seems to be all I can do lately! What's up with that? Tomorrow I'll do better I promise!

Hey...you had puke in your day...complain away...you earned the right to bitch about it ; )
I had a cranky Walmart cashier the last time I was there. Maybe it's their new policy.
I felt like punching her in the throat just so she would say something..
I've never come across a Walmart cashier who WASN'T cranky!
Your poor son! Yikes - what a day for him. Hope his lip heals up quickly.
It takes several nice comments to overcome negative ones. Maybe you just started the ball rolling in making her day better : )
Nothing wrong with complaining...
If I never complained, I'd never write a damn thing. ;)
Steve~
Hope the boy's okay.
I am SO OVER people that either don't want to or can't do their jobs without an attitude. What is with all the incompetance these days? It drives me NUTS
You have every right to complain..wow what a day you had! If I was there at Walmart and the lady grunted at me, I think I woulda said (or rather let Pizzaslinger say) "THANK YOU FOR SHOPPING AT WALMART!! HAVE A NICE DAY!" right in grunty womans face. But chicky..puke..that one takes the cake. I think that part wouldn't faze me..its the fact your son couldn't get up after falling. That probably sent the Mommy radar into overdrive..scanning the boys body for signs of injury. He sounds like he'll be right as rain soon..probably forgot about the "owie" already. Ever notice that about kids? They could bash their head on the coffee table, then after a few minutes of comfort, they're off and running around again. Quite resilient.
