American idol rant

I've been watching the American Idol try outs. I'll admit that the try outs are my favorite part. I don't watch much after they have made their choices. It just isn't as entertaining. These are the things that have been irking me.

Simon will make some nasty remark but say "I'm not being rude" like that makes the comment sting less.

These contestants are singing their little hearts out and the judges are laughing. I realize that tons of them really stink (why do you think I watch?) I just think it's awful to laugh in their face when it took guts for them to get up there in the first place.

I don't like it when Simon busts on the the contestants physical features. That has nothing to do with their voice. Yes, you have to market them but you don't have to tell them that their bulgy eyes look like a bush baby. That IS just being rude.

On the flip side I hate it when the contestants say,"Well you are entitled to your opinion but I KNOW I sing good." OH! And the famous,"They would have made a lot of money with me on the show." Whatever.

I also think they make fun of some of the less attractive people on the show. Like the two fellas Wed. night. They also poked fun at the cowboys a year ago. I don't know why that makes me so mad. I'd write them an email to tell them about it but my hump hurts, my runny eye needs dabbing and I have to braid my mole hairs before bed.

Have a good day all!

i go back and forth with the Idol try out's. I mean, they're funny and I admit I laugh my ass off but you wonder why some of these people even do this to themselves, I mean, who is lying to these people and telling them they can sing? THEN I feel bad for these idiots and you see them getting their feelings hurt. Every year I watch and every year I say, I'm not gonna watch next year, they're too mean to people...oh well.

Well, I hate to sound like a person suffering from sadistic personality disorder (yes it does exist but the whole try out thing is the best because not only they can't sing, they get insulted for most minute things - but hey, their humiliation is our entertainment. It would be boring with if everything was all polite.

I only watch the auditions too, but so far I've felt more uncomfortable than entertained. It seems more cruel this year because it's not only simon. Paula Randy and even Jewel are ripping on people and just breaking thier foolish little hearts.

Jim was watching some of the not-so-good try-outs on the internet last night. All I heard was my husband giggling like a little girl at each one, and I haven't seen them for myself.

Well, I rarely watch Idol. Simon can be really harsh, but we all know that and the contestants should know that.

I haven't been watching American Idol tryouts.

I don't think I've ever watched American Idol tryouts.

Because of this, I have nothing to add. ;)
