It's Tuesday.

Saturday was a strange day. I was deep in my head thinking about all the events transpiring that day. Thinking about my own issues and such but I kept getting interrupted by weird interactions. Let me explain.

First thing happened around lunch time. My daughter was in the kitchen making her lunch and I was outside with my son in the back yard. My daughter came out to get me saying that someone was at the door. (She isn't allowed to answer the door if it isn't someone we know.) As I approached the front door I see some lady peering in my window! She doesn't look away as I get closer she just keeps looking back and forth around the room. (It had to have spooked my daughter!) I answered the door with,"CAN I HELP YOU?!" and she replies, "Jan?" I told her that she had the wrong house but she isn't convinced. "Blue house with the flag outside?" She turns and points to the flag on my porch. As if I am lying to her or something. She reads her directions out loud to me and realizes her mistake. Weirdo.

Then my beloved "Direct TV" struck again. I got a call from some strange man saying my package was delivered to his house by mistake. I told him I wasn't expecting any packages. He reads the phone number off of the box and it's mine. Then he read the address, it was one of the addresses direct TV has called me about before! I explained to the man that direct TV keeps calling me for service calls for several different addresses including the one he gave me. We started chatting and he explains that he lives in a bad neighborhood and that he was surprised that the deliverer left it on his porch, and MORE surprised that it was still there when he got home! He was a very pleasant fellow. Direct TV on the other hand.....Not only did they have the wrong phone number AGAIN (giving out to strangers) but they also somehow delivered it to the wrong address altogether! Freaks.

Then I got a call from the National Centers for Disease Control. They had called during dinner a couple of weeks ago asking me to do a survey for them but I told them I was busy. They have been pestering my nonstop ever since! So I answered their survey for them on Saturday. It took 38 minutes! The lady told me I could refuse to answer any questions and stop the interview at any time. When I tried she hounded me till I gave in! I feel like such a push over sometimes. Bullies.

Have a lovely day all. If you love someone, tell them.

Weird, Weird, and Weird! I hate when people I don't know are at my door and when I was your daughters age that type of thing freaked me out so I hope she was okay. And I HATE phone solicitors. For a while I just wouldn't answer the phone when I saw that it was an unknown or weird # but I've resorted to growing some balls, answering the phone and telling them that, A) right now is not a good time B) We give when we can and now is not the time, and C) please take us off your call list, then I hang up before they can bully me! Good luck

I would have invited the woman in to look for her friend. And then smashed her in the head with a shovel.
You could have boxed her up and sent her to the direct tv office and then talked to the national centre for disease control about it..

Telemarketers always say "short survey" when they really mean to take precious hours filled with nonsensical babble away from your family. I simply hang up on these people. I know it's rude, but would they honestly like it if you called them at their home during dinner to ask their opinions while their food got cold sitting on the dining room table? I think not!

I don't often answer my door when there's a knock. ;)

Purring- I had completely forgotten about the no call list! I registered at our old home but haven't done it since we moved here. Thanks for reminding me! Suck on that Direct TV!
