The date that almost wasn't.

Sunday was the big day. I never got real worked up about it because I was afraid something would come up and ruin it. I didn't want to be let down. Sunday morning I woke up ( I say woke up but I hardly slept) with the worst pain in my neck. The pain started on Friday and wasn't real bad. It caused a minor headache but nothing I couldn't handle. Saturday it was worse but Sunday ,Oh MY, Sunday. It was awful! My neck hurt, causing a tremendous headache which in turn made me sick to my stomach. This is what I was afraid of. I was going to have to postpone our date. After having half a donut I rushed to the bathroom to barf it up. Sorry if it grosses you out. It's just the truth. Upon spewing my breakfast into the toilet I realized my headache was gone! So was the neck pain! Yee haw! Let's get it on! Well not get it on exactly because aunt Flo had also decided to start her visit Sunday morning. Too much info? I'm just setting the scene. The pain did come back but it wasn't as intense. I used advil and naproxin to ward it off.

We went to see "Breach". It was a terrific movie. I was afraid because we had a hard time finding something we wanted to see. After the movie we went and picked up some birthday presents for my son then it was off to dinner. My hubby was in the mood for steak and a place that was close so I could get the next dose of my medicine. We chose a steak house that was near the theater. We can say we've been there now. That's about the best thing I can say about the place. We waited forever for our food to get to us and when we did it wasn't very hot. My husband said his lobster tail was cold. I begged him to return it and he said he was hungry and didn't want to wait any longer. It's not a place we will be going back to. On the other hand, we were together....ALONE. It was nice to be able to hold his hand and meander. Not having to worry about whether the kids are wandering off or negotiating with a three year old. I got to gaze at CCB's handsome face instead of cutting up food and wiping faces. It was nice and much needed.

The neighbor mentioned again that we should do this once a month. I would love that, but again, I don't want to get my hopes up.

Monday we began potty training. YIKES!

Glad you were able to get out and have some "alone" time with CCB. All married couples need time like that.....Sorry the steak place was a dissapointment. My birthday was yesterday, but we celebrated on Saturday night. William had his 25th. birthday on the 15th so we had lots to celebrate....We went to Papas seafood and it was wonderful...

Potty training...soooo glad those days are over with. Good luck!
