Just a thought.

If you happen to see someone with more than one child and one of them happens to be young and the other one is older please don't ignore the older one and fawn over the small one. Imagine how you'd feel if someone ooh and ahhed over your friend but ignored you.

It happened again in the hospital elevator the other day. Someone told my son how cute he was but ignored my daughter. I know kids are UBER cute when they are little but it doesn't mean their siblings are chopped liver. Sorry. That's just how I feel.

OK, so how is CCB? I guess it is just human nature to owww and ahhh over the younger kids, but you are right, all the kids should be noticed....

Our grandson Michael is 13. He was an only child the first eight years of his life. Then along come Hope. I worry about Michael all the time because he is bright, talented, extremely smart and was accustomed to ALL the attention. It is difficult to resist Hope and her special antics but I always wonder how Michael feels inside. No one likes to be moved into second place.

Uuggh, I hate when people do that. I make a point to never do that to anyone, I'm sorry this keeps happening OGO, some people are completely oblivious. I hope you notice this just b/c you're an observant mother and not because your daughter exhibits signs of sadness when this happens...

I try very hard not to fawn over kids - those people who really go over the top creep me right out.

You're right though, the older kids would feel very overlooked.

Good rant and I agree with you totally. Hope all goes well on the home front with his recovery

People are oblivious...they really are. It's a shame.

When Emily was born, Sarah was 10 and Chris 12---they immediately became invisible, unless they were carrying Emily in a snugglie.
