Boy, the days just keep truckin' by don't they? I'm not nearly as good about updating as I used to be!
My baby boy has been sick. He'd been more emotional than normal last week then on Monday he slept in super late. As soon as I saw him I knew he wasn't "right" but I couldn't put my finger on the problem. He begged me for medicine but I didn't know what to give him when I didn't know what I was treating. I gave him some cereal and some apple juice and snuggled up with him on the sofa. After a while he seemed to be stable so I went to do some dishes. He coughed once then started to cry. I ran around the counter to find him covered in chocolate vomit. OH! and he wasn't done yet. It just kept coming and coming. When he finally stopped I had the lovely job of cleaning it all up. I can handle cleaning up my kids vomit most of the time. Two things I can't handle is milk barf and mucus barf. This time it was the mucus variety. Can you picture a mom retching while she sops up her kids slimy chocolate barf? That was me. It was nasty.
My baby boy was better yesterday. His throat is still a little scratchy sounding and he looks puny but he was in good spirits. He's not up yet to see what I'm dealing with today. Wish me luck.
I guess I do have a good reason for not updating sooner!

Thinking of you, I puked once while clearing up my daughter's puke. It's a road going nowhere, really fast.

Oh yuck! That sucks! I heard the one day flu is going around.
What is it with kids and puke? I've puked once in 18 years, and that was from food poisoning (thank you 7-Eleven hotdog).
But when I was a kid, I puked every other week!

Ummm, yeah, I'd say you have reason to not post. Kid vomit...OY! How will I ever deal? I often wonder how my mom could have been THAT awesome, always holding my hair back, wiping my face with a damp cloth, not wretching, making me feel better. God I want to puke just thinking about cleaning someone else's vomit....that's it, I'm doomed. My kid's gonna be a puker! HA HA
