Well all good things come to an end. Monday never fails to come does it?
The zoo was fun although it didn't seem like we looked at very many animals. We ended up meeting with my neighbors so we didn't do things like we would have otherwise you know? It's OK though we had fun and my son got to ride his beloved train. The rest of the weekend was eh. Hubbster and I seemed sort of out of sync. That happens from time to time. Some quiet time after the kids went to bed on Sunday night put things back on track. Have I ever mentioned that I LOVE that man? Yeah, I thought so.
I've been tinkering a little with our family trees on Ancestry dot com. I've gone about as far as I can go without buying a membership. I sorta feel like why should I pay when I can get the info myself? Then I think....It's faster and easier just pay the money....*sigh* Sometimes I can be so cheap. Has anyone else done much with family trees? Any tips or ideas?
Well, I have laundry to put away and litter boxes to clean. Isn't my life glamorous? *wink*

Go check out www.familysearch.org It is one of the largest free search engines out there for doing your family history..... I think you will find what you want there. You could also go to the LDS church near you and find out when their geneology library is open and go in to get help. You do not have to be a member of the church to go in and get information. They will teach you how to use all of the different ways to find ancestors. Ship file, the Social Security index, Indian files, etc. Go check it out.....
BTW: Whole wheat berries are the whole wheat before it is ground down in flour. It has all the vitamins, minerals and fiber the the wheat offers. You can find it in health food stores or grocery stores that carry these kind of items.
I love family research. The best info comes from family members, old ones generally, but a lot of it is free on the internet. I wouldn't spend a lot but it's nice to know, huh? And pass on to the kids. How else would they know?
OMG I miss you! I know I have been completely MIA lately. I'm back, I think...
Anyway - sounds like a perfectly nice weekend!
The whole family tree thing scares me! My family is so crazy and convoluted that making a family tree for me would result in a family forest. I had to make a family tree once for a school project and I wanted to cry, it was such a pain in the arse! Good luck with all that...I have no advice :O)
As much as I love my family, I have no interest in plotting us back to Canute or whoever...I have enough to do to keep up with the ones I share the planet with now. Hmmm, that sounded a lot more ehiny than I intended.
There's certainly no shortage of people trying to get "money for old rope" is there. A few years ago I thought about doing a family tree and asking some of the family oldies about old relatives, but thought better of it as they were starting with dementia and would probably get told we were related to the Queen or something. Good luck with it!
I don't have a family tree. I'm an orphan.
No, I kid. Dutch-Irish. Lots of alcoholics and great bone structure in my tree!
i think tracing the family lineage is a great idea. i want to do that too eventually. but i'm with you, i wouldn't want to pay for it.
i hate it when me and the hubby are out of sync. *sigh* i know how you feel.
