Ahh relief

Wow. It didn't take Monday long to rear it's head did it? I seem to have recovered some since last we chatted. That night I went out on my own. ALL BY MYSELF. I just shopped the local Target. It wasn't anything big but it certainly helped. I sipped my Chai tea latte and was able to look at what I wanted and not be hurried. I looked at sassy panties, interesting books, and lot's of clearance racks. It didn't take all the anxiety away but it helped.

I was able to enjoy the kids on Saturday but thought I was gonna slip back when CCB called. He was having computer problems at work and gave me a choice. He could stay till midnight to get things done or he could go in on Sunday.....His only day off. Not very good choices if you ask me. He decided to cut his employees a break and let them go home. He went in early Sunday morning so he could be back in time to spend the majority of the day with us.

I got time alone, I got time with my guy. I'm feeling a lot better. It's taken me a long time to realize that I don't have to be everything to everyone at all times. Sometimes I just gotta be. Our walk Sunday afternoon really helped to get me back on track. We used to walk 5 nights a week but since it gets dark earlier and he gets home later we haven't been able to walk but once a week. It's amazing what some fresh air and exercise can do for you. (I can't believe I said that.)

What a boring, not to mention rambling, post. I gotta get a life.

Not boring at all...just goes to show that we all need to find what gives us peace in our lives every day. Whether it's a chai tea latte sipped slowly or a solo shopping trip or a walk with your honey...it helps.

from what I can see, it's a lovely life---not enough snow, that's your problem.

I'm glad that you are feeling better. Hopefully you will figure out how to get some more time to yourself.. Is there a way that you can go walk early in the morning before CCB leaves for work? I have done some of my best walking in the early morning hours....I had more energy during the day and I got it out of the way so that I could get other things done.

OGO, I love your holiday avitar.

I am the same way, I always put so much pressure on myself to be everything to everyone. It's just what we do.

Glad the weekend worked out after all and you got some much needed fresh air and exercise in too. I swear it's what helps me the most these days too! Whenever I need some relief, I take the pooch for a nice long walk and we both win!!
