Sicky McSickertons

Well let's see. My hubby and my daughter are home sick today, but my cat seems to be on the mend. CCB has been trying to fight off some bug for almost a week but it's taken him down now.

I almost feel guilty that I feel fabulous when he is so miserable. I've found that if I can convince myself to do my workout first thing in the morning it makes me feel energized and happy the rest of the day. The trick is to get exercising and not crawling into bed. It always looks so inviting at that time in the morning.

My son has been having a blast with all the beads he has now. He can barely lift the bucket all of them are in right now. Who needs expensive toys. Give them cheap beads!

I finished painting the dressers in my bedroom. We have some dressers that CCB's grandmother gave his father then got passed down to us. Antiques? No. It's that Sauder sort of stuff. I always thought of it as crap until I realized how long it's been around our family. I decided I had nothing to lose by painting it. It looks FABULOUS! So sleek and modern now. It cost me a small fortune in hardware but it was worth all the work. It will last until I can justify spending money on new furniture. There always seems to be something more pressing you know?

Well I'm off. My little guy decided he needs help crawling across the hot lava to his tiger home. (The Lava is the tiles on the kitchen floor and his tiger home is the sofa.)

Have a great day!

Prayers for good health are coming your way! Bed looks inviting to me any time of day, but yeah especially first thing in the morning when the sheets are still warm!

Alright now, go get some of that garlic and onions I blogged about and make CCB some chicken soup....It wouldn't hurt for you and the kids to eat some as a preventive. I promise you that you won't smell like garlic after eating it....The garlic is also good for killing bacteria as well as clearing up the head and chest.

I find that morning exercising is good for me too. By the end of the day, I am too tired to do it. It will make your day go better.

My whole family is sick too and I was with them all on Sunday! I will be SO upset if I get sick before I leave for the beach, or worse yet, AT THE BEACH! AHHH...

I love painting old furniture. It makes me feel so accomplished. A new piece for almost nothing! I just helped my SIL paint an old armoire she had and is now using for her soon to be born baby! We did a faux finish on it and it looks AWESOME!

Good luck with all your projects. Go take on the lava!!

Glad you glamourized your furniture.

Now, here's hoping that everyone gets on the mend, and fast!
