Back to normal. (sorta)

My sweet CCB has returned to work and though he gets winded pretty easily walking around work all day he's doing better.

Son is doing much better. He still has a bit of a cough, it comes in spurts, but no fevers.

My daughter still has a cough. She didn't get all the fevers but her cough seems to be hanging on the longest. I have made both of the kids sleep under a vaporizer at night and they seem to be sleeping well with few coughing jags.

I'm still not sick!

I tinkered in my sons room yesterday. I painted the palms of his hands and let him make a border of handprints around his bedroom window. It's cute! I also put his name on the opposit wall. I'm trying to make it a little more fun for him. He hates to play in there by himself. He makes someone go with him even if he just wants to retrieve a toy! I also plan on painting a chalkboard on his door so he can have a place to draw. I'm sure I'll have to do one for my daughter too. She has all sorts of signage hanging on her door right now. I just want to give them fun spaces to call their own.

I've been researching ideas on how to refinish my kitchen cabinets. I'd like a antiquey look to them. My kitchen and family room are pretty rustic with the wood on the walls and since I can't run out and replace all that right now I'd like to lighten up the kitchen and still make it fit, if that makes any sense. The cabinets are wood color now with wood walls. ACK! It's too dark! I'll let you know when I get that project started. I'll have to take before pictures because I forgot to do that for the furniture I painted and now I'm sad.

Boy howdy I'm just rambling crap now. I hope you have a great Tuesday. Tell someone you love them today!

the hand border sounds so cute!

My SIL has enlisted me to paint all kinds of crap for her unborn baby's room. I am running out of ideas! We've done an armoire that she wanted a certain way and then she brought me a mirror, a lamp and a trash can that she wants me to come up with ideas for on my own. The problem is that she's kind of picky so I'm scared she won't like what I pick! UUGHH - this should be fun, but it's not.

Have fun with your kids projects, those sound like good one's!! Hope everyone is feeling better soon.

I am glad to hear that everyone is feeling better....

You might ask someone, at the Home Depot, how to do the antique look on the cabinets. I've seen a couple of shows on the HGTV channel on lightening up cabinets. It looks like a lot of work but not hard. Good luck, let us know.

Glad you're all getting well.

I love the idea with the hand prints around the window. He'll be astonished next year when his hands are so much bigger!
