Ok. It's Monday but I don't have to like it.

I really wasn't in a hurry for Monday to get here this week. Well, ok so I'm never really in a hurry for Monday but it was such a lovely weekend I didn't want it to end.

Saturday was my little mans fourth birthday. We took him to Chuck E. Cheeses and he climbed around those tubes till he was sweaty. He loved his gifts especially the pirate ship. His daddy likes it too so it's a win win for my kiddo!

I got a new workout video on clearance at Academy sports. This one uses a 6lb ball. It combines aerobic exercise with the weight of the ball so you get even more bang for your buck. It's tough but I like it. Seeing the changes these workouts are making in my ol' bod is keeping me excited about the exercises. Seeing my hubby's reaction to my new bod truly helps to keep me on track as well.

Sunday was a lovely day. I got out and did a little yard work. I don't know about you but a little yard work on a beautiful day is quite a boost to the spirits. I got rid of the limbs and branches that had fallen from the trees around our house. (SEE neighbor, you don't have to throw them over the fence because they didn't come from your tree. I just bundle yours up with mine and it's all done!) Then I power washed the front porch. I think it's going to need a new coat of paint to really restore the beauty and I'm up for the job. THEN I power washed more of our driveway. Now that I know it is supposed to be grey and not black it will never get so bad again!

I know this is a boring post but I'd rather have boring stuff than turmoil.

What was the highlight of your weekend?

I posted photos of the highlight. Of course, there were no pictures of me taking a nap on Sunday afternoon, but the rest of it is real....

Dear Super Mom, what drugs are you on? How do you get so much energy?
I guess it is youth and I think I had energy too way back then.

About the tree limbs. My old neighbors used to throw my tree limbs back in my yard if they fell from my tree. However, when my beautiful paper shell pecans fell in their yard, they gathered them and kept them! What was that about? LOL
