I don't have any one thing that's great to share. I do however, have lot's of trivial things so beware, random thoughts comin' at ya!
I hate stupid email forwards. A lot of times the forward stops with me. I enjoy funny jokes, touching stories and so forth but I really hate the ones that are fake and passed on as if they are true. I check these stories through the Urban Legends website if I find out it isn't true I reply to the sender and tell them it isn't and give them the link. Perhaps that's not the most polite thing to do, although I am nice about it. I just think it's stupid all the CRAP being passed of as truth. People really believe it!
While I'm talking about email forwards here is another that chaps my hiney. You get some nice email with a prayer or lovely scripture. It makes you all warm and fuzzy then, what do you see at the bottom? Pass this on to 7 people or you will have bad luck. Can I tell you that any warm fuzzy's I had are gone now. It went from something uplifting to a quota to keep me in good luck. Well those are wasted on me too. I'd be more than happy to share if it weren't for that crap at the end. If it's a really good one I'll cut that out of it and send it on but more often than not I delete it. I'm still waiting for my truckloads of bad luck.
I felt cruddy yesterday. Not blowin' chunks, sit on the toilet all day cruddy, just headachy and queasy. JUST enough to make me want to lay around but not enough that I couldn't do my chores. I hate that. It was fabulous outside yesterday and I spent it wrapped in a blanket on my sofa.
On the up side. I feel fantastic today! I got my workout and shower in before my son got up. Got my laundry going. Secured a seat in preschool next year for my son and still made it home in time to see CCB for lunch. WOO HOO!
Tomorrow is CCB's day off. I have to take him to the doctors. We had his annual blood work done for his high cholesterol. When they called with his results they said his cholesterol was higher than they like and he should be on a low fat diet. Between my issues and his we should be eating bread and water! HA! I'm workin' out how to save some of his favorite dishes just making them lower in fat. We don't do to bad overall but he eats things that I don't. There is a big chunk of his problem. (Did you know that leaving the whipped cream off his favorite Chai tea frappuccino takes the fat from 13g to 2g? Calories from fat goes from 120 to 20? Calories drop drastically too!) I told you I'm trying to modify instead of take the good stuff away!
I went to register my son for preschool today. I was SO impressed. I think I'm getting a great school for an awesome price. It's been a big source of stress to me because the school system here is so different from the ones we are used to. He is guaranteed a spot now no scrapping at the last minute to find one!
My kitty is super sick. He's gone from 10 lbs to 6.2 as of Tuesday. The doc says it might be a tumor or cancer or a fungal infection. Quite a range of ailments there. I have to give him pills 3-4 times a day (those of you with cats know that isn't the easiest task) but since he isn't eating the meds are making him sick to his stomach. (I wish we'd have waited one more week to steam clean the carpets.) He is nearly 16 and I'm afraid he's on his last leg. It's amazing how much you can love a pet isn't it? I can't tell you how many tears I've shed over him already. *sigh* I hope the test results say it's just a fungus issue. Then he may still have a chance.
ACK I was all over the place with this post. I hope you managed to stay awake!
Have a great Thursday!

I hate chain letters too. They drive me nuts!
Don't ya know the whipped topping is the best part?? hehe...
I had a cat once that lost a lot of weight and I think his was a liver (or maybe kidneys)issue. It was pretty much failing and there really wasn't anything we could do. Putting him to sleep was very difficult because he was my first cat, but I really hated to see him suffer so much. :( I hope your kitty gets to feeling better!
I too hate the uplifting, inspirational ones that have the warning at the bottom about passing it on or having bad luck. It kinda defeats the purpose of making me feel warm and fuzzy in the first place.
Am familiar with the cardboard and lettuce cholesterol diet.:) Sucks but you do get used to it...or so they keep telling me.
I hope your kitty gets better. Pets really are family members, except they don't get smart with you and they're never rude...which makes 'em the BEST family members:)
I'm with you on the chain letters. I call 'em emotional extortion. There's a 2005 post on my old site about them, I think clicking my name will take you there. The worst part about them is all the BS ones lessen the impact of the true stories.
My pets are just like kids to me. I freak out so bad when one of mine has to be sedated for anything that my previous vet finally asked me if there was anyone who could bring them to their appts for me. Bad huh? :s
I'm sorry your kitty's sick. Prayers and hugs for both of you.
So that's why I'm being barraged by snow, covered in bruises and why my cat is till shivering in the upper reaches of the closet? I still won't forward those cheapass e-mails.
I always check the stupid email things through Snopes.com and when I find that something is untrue I, too, reply to whomever sent it to me and send them the link. :)
I'm glad I'm not the only one who does that!
Oh and I'm also terribly sorry for what you're going through with your kitty. Pets are family members, and it's very difficult to see them suffer. I hope it's something simple and fixable.
Oy! the forwarded emails are SO annoying. I used to reply with the urban legend thing but now, when I see emails come through from certain people, I don't even open them. I just automatically delete them and pray they never ask if I got that one email they sent me...
I hope your cat gets better OGO. It really is amazing how much we can love a pet. They're our fur babies and they love us unconditionally so it's hard not to. You know how we feel about our pets! I just assume everyone is the same as us. Good luck !
My trash folder does good business with all the chain mail that goes its way.
Your poor kitty :-( I hope he soon gets better, poor sweetheart.
Anyone who likes chai frappuccino is a Jolly Good Fellow in my book - you've got a good one there!!
The one thing that helped get my cholestrol down was flax seed oil. I went to Sams and bought a large bottle of the Flax seed capsules and will take two in the morning and two at night. OR You could buy some flax seeds and grind them and put them on top of oatmeal or into muffins. Just remember that flax seeds need to be ground to do their job. I took the easy route and bought the capsules. Flax seeds are an omega 3 oil and they help with a lot of things. Hope you are feeling better.
...please where can I buy a unicorn?
