nutshell

Took my daughter to a birthday party. She was the only girl there. It was a party for one of her male friends and only boys showed up except for my baby girl. I was pleased to see that they didn't leave her out, they made sure she was included in everything.

Snatched up some great deals from Dave and Barry's.

Set new posts for the fence hurricane Gustav broke.

Cleaned out all the crap the old owners left behind in our shed. (two lawn mowers, two ginormous flood lights still in the original boxes, indoor/outdoor carpet, various metal fittings, and a boatload of creepy crawlies!) Yeah it's only been 2 years and nearly 10 months. We are speedy!

I asked my neighbor to cut down the trunk to the tree with his chainsaw. I cut down the rest of the tree by hand a long time ago but couldn't get through the trunk with my small saw. I should really think projects through before I start them.

Had neighbor over for dinner for helping me out.

Made room in the shop for OUR lawnmower and fertilizer spreader so we could get rid of the old shed. The neighbor wants it. It ought to be fun getting it from here to there.

Had a fantastic meal prepared by my husband. (Thank you honey!)

We were quite busy by our standards. We went to bed tired and achy. Woke up achy and tired. I have to say it was the most wonderful weekend we've had in a while. (Especially considering my husband hasn't had a weekend since before the hurricane at the beginning of the month!)

Something about hard work is so satisfying.
