I can't tell you the guilt I feel. There are so many without power right now. There are people with no water or water in their living rooms. There are people with trees laying in or on their homes. Their are trees pulled up at their roots that have to be cut and hauled away. Yet my house is cool. My lights are on. My yard is cleaned up. I know we've been blessed but it's hard to see others struggling.
I'm terrified Ike will come this way. I can't help but feel that somehow my house or family will be hit extra hard since our recovery came out so well.

Yes, Ike is coming our way and it looks like it is headed straight for us......This is a time to help others that are not as fortunate as you.....Offer water or a cooked meal to you neighbors...
Don't feel guilty.....you were blessed this time around, you may not fare as well next time....
My eyes are glued to the weather channel and I'll bet yours are too. I hope CCB is doing well with his office repairs....Hug the kids for me and get some good sleep.
Nature is pure chance, and there is absolutely nothing you can do actively or passively to alter the odds of it being you. Like Lucy said, maybe offer help to someone less fortunate than you, and get the flock outta there if you see it coming your way!!
