The children are out of school for Christmas break and as happy as that makes me I still feel a little lonely. My CCB is putting in monster hours at work to try to sway the opinion of some crotchety old man who doesn't like him. It's not entirely clear why he doesn't like my husband, we think someone who has had cranky man's ear for the last 3 years may have something to do with it but I guess it really doesn't matter. The fact is this guy doesn't like CCB and so CCB has to work doubly hard to try overcome this obstacle.
Now I don't begrudge my husband for all these extra hours he's putting in. He's doing it all for us. For our family. It's just that.....It's Christmas.... He's had one day off in the last month and I miss him. Today he left the house around 4:30am and I don't expect him home till 10pm (HOPEFULLY). It's just so frustrating. I'm so looking forward to him having a day off on Sunday. Unless something unforeseen takes that away too. *sigh*
Sorry. It's a downer post in a happy time but it's all I've got today.

I am so sorry about CCB's continued long hours. Will he at least have Christmas off?
Are you worried about our friend Slade? She's getting a bit caught up in that Twilight book series.
Poor you, I really hope your man gets his day off and you get some nice family time, it can't be good for him doing silly hours as I found out Friday night with Mr T being taken into hospital.
Just wish I was closer so we could commiserate.
