We were riding in the neighbors car when I tuned into the conversation our children were having in the backseat. "It doesn't snow in our town" my son states. "Doesn't snow?" neighbors child asks. About that time the neighbor says, "It does snow once in a blue moon". My son turns to the neighbors child to correct his earlier statement. "It only snows when the moon is blue."
Well son the moon was blue last night because we have SNOW! It's beautiful! We have lived in Louisiana for nearly 3 years now and we have missed the winters we had in Colorado. The cancelled school and my daughter flopped back into bed. She has probably missed the snow the most.) My son was just a tiny button when we moved so he doesn't remember snow and this will be a great day for him. I forsee a day of playing outside in our future!

Sam and I (ok, mostly me) had SO MUCH FUN PLAYING IN THE SNOW!!!! It's such a FREAK occurrence for us here!
And I haven't seen snow since I was a kid living in Virginia... this was totally awesome.

OMG! I am so happy for you guys! We live in the north east and we haven't even had any snow yet!! I'm sure we'll get some but nothing yet.

Yep! We got snow too, but it looks like you got more than we did.....The phone never stopped ringing with the kids and my brother and sisters calling every few minutes....It was FUN!

OGO...If I were you, I'd read ahead of your daughter just to see if it is something you would want her reading....there is A LOT of sexual tension in the books. Not the actual act itself, but very close to it.
On the other hand, you may really enjoy reading them yourself!
