Ok so the repair man came to fix my fridge. I had it narrowed down to the right area and parts but I wouldn't have been able to determine exactly which one it was without trial and error so I'm glad I called in a pro. He replaced the heater in the freezer. Sounds weird but it really does make sense. I'm still a little paranoid that it will start warming up again because we have this weird squeaky noise that happens every once in a while. I keep checking it to make sure it's cold. What a pain. It ended up costing a pretty penny, BUT I had a coupon. I was excited until I realized it was expired. I had it on the counter where the repairman was writing up my bill. He gave me the price then saw the coupon. (I felt like I was being dishonest if I tried to use it.) He grabbed it and said,"OH girl you got a coupon! That will take 25 dollars off the price!" I resisted the urge to point out the expiration date. (So much for worrying about dishonesty huh.) In the end I had to fork over 178 bucks.
My last round of guests rolled in today. I'm excited to have them here. These guests are from my side of the family in Colorado so I get filled in on all the news from back home. They are here till Friday and once again my hubby will mostly miss out. His business really cuts into family time during the holiday season.
My house is decorated. The outside lights and decorations are up as of yesterday. I just need to get my tush in gear and get my shopping done and my cards taken care of. I just can't seem to get into gear. I'm usually all over it, not this year.
Have a great day!

You have been kind of busy lately---take a day to yourself, and the gears will fall in place.
Were you intentionally vague? I'm not sure if you used the coupon or if you fessed up.
Glad all is well and now you can get in the swing of things. I'll still wait until about the 20th!
I am sure that the repair man knew that the coupon was expired.....Most of them will go ahead and honor the coupon to keep good will, after all they want you to call them back again if needed. I don't intentionally give expired coupons but if I do let one slip out, I let the repairman tell me it is expired.
I can't believe that today is the fourth of Dec..... I need to make up my cookie dough, get the cards mailed out, shop and everything else that goes along with the season....Too much to do....
you my family hero, yep you are
Yuck! We had a wierd noise coming from ours and it turned out something had gotten jammed into the ice maker.
Oh appliance repairs...the horrors!! Well, it sounds like you got off semi-easy so I'm happy for you!
