We're just taking one day at a time. I have tried to contact a lawyer to see if they could give us some guidance on how to proceed but it would seem they never check their messages or call people back. I think I will try to call someone else today though no other ad said they did unemployment issues.
CCB is starting to get some nibbles for jobs. He had a preliminary interview yesterday for a job that would take us back to Colorado and our family. It would be another work here to train then move there situation which I'm not pleased about but we don't know all the details yet. He's supposed to get a call from the owner of the company. We'll just have to wait and see.
Thank you for all your kind words, tidbits of advice and well wishes. I'm thankful for you all.

Sorry, I commented on your previous post but I wanted to add something...
CCB should ask for some kind of severance and if he gets it make sure there is no kind of non-compete clause where he can't get another job in his industry or a competitor within a certain amount of time. He should be allowed to get what he deserves from this company and be able to find a new job.
Good luck to you guys. I know how hard this type of thing can be. I've been through a similar situation and my father was in an even scarier one where his employer made his life a living hell and he ended up sewing them, which was a hassle, BUT he won so please know that when you're in the right you just have to stick to your guns! Don't let these people intimidate you and push you out b/c that's what they are doing and most people will just put their tale between their legs and let it happen. Don't let them win!
Glad things are looking better for you and CCB....I still hope you don't let down your guard on this....Check the stability of the company he is interviewing for. I would hate to see you move back to Colorado, only to have a short term deal.
I'm praying for you.
I hope the lawyers get back with you. I think it's important that you guys have that sort of help.
Once again, I'm here for you if you need anything. Call or email me if you need something; and keep us up to date with what's going on. I'll cross my fingers for good news on the nibbles for the jobs!
Sometimes plodding is more than enough.
