Yesterday started off well enough. Nothing out of the ordinary, except that instead of blogging I chose to clean till my son got up. Our routine was the same until 10:45. He asked to go outside. That is normal. Then I said "Sure, let me get my shoes on and we'll go out and PLAY. I said PLAY. Apparently in his mind PLAY means going to McDonald's or Burger King to play in their play area. I however didn't realize this right away. We went outside and he wanted to open the gate. I took this to mean that he wanted to play out front. OH NO. That isn't what he wanted. He wanted the gate open so we could get into the car and go to McDonald's! He cried and cried! Then he settled a little and then started talking about playing again. This time he was walking toward the street. I followed close behind him to prevent him from going in the street. That's when I realized where he wanted to go. The neighbors have a Little Tikes slide in their front yard (I have no idea why it's in the front yard) he wanted to play on it. *sigh*
He kept talking about PLAYING all through lunch right up to nap time. We used to have a swing set , a small slide and a playhouse until we moved out of our house and into the apt. In Santa Fe now we have nothing. SOOOOO last night we went to find him something to climb on. That was no easy task. I did my research! It should have been easy! But NOOOOO! Walmart had A slide. Target had the SAME slide. Finally we found a Toys R Us and they had plenty to choose from. Of course they didn't have the one I really wanted but they had something similar. THEN we had to come home to get the truck to bring the sucker home. We didn't plan on going all over the place to get this thing. Putting it together was comical. Not at the time of course. I was sleepy and cranky and it wasn't as easy as the little pictures made it look. Anyway, it's done and he hasn't seen it yet. He better be pleased as can be or I'll be cranky all over again!
I've been getting spam on OLD posts. It's sort of funny really. Who really reads those old posts anyway? Today there were two from anonymous. The first one said "Cool site on naked gay man. Check out my "how I enlarge my Penis". That was posted on a post from June of 2005. It was one of our collaborative stories. The second was posted on a post from January 10,2006. I had been talking about issues buying our house and anonymous wanted to help me out I guess. They posted this,"Took a break from working on my own real estate sites ... And glad I did, because it let me spend some time reading your blog. Enjoyable and interesting. Thanks. Stop by my site if you can. " How productive can these spam posts really be if they are on OLD posts? Hey anonymous! Here's your sign.
Have a lovely weekend everyone.

Awww, you went all over town just to please your son...how sweet! And I know what a pain it is to build those things! So not fun!!!
I'm sure your son will be pleased with whatever you bought for him. If he isn't, then you can threaten to take it back and I'll bet he will change his mind. I have a couple of friends who went to Home Depot and bought some of their play sets, but it takes a lot more work putting them together.
I simply can't believe those spammers. They will put their message anywhere and hope that someone will look at it. I'm glad that I have word verification to keep the spammers out.
Have a good day.
you need that word verfi-thingy...it's really not that bad.
You are a good mom!
that's so nice that you went out to get play things for the boy. Kids do need to run around and climb all over things I suppose! Hope you have a wonderful weekend.
Oh, I've been getting spam a lot lately too but I'm too lazy to put my word verification on...oh well!
when you're a kid, it takes about 90 seconds to fix your broken heart. And gummy bears.
What a lucky kid you have that you would drive all over town for the perfect toy and then put it together despite sleep deprivation. He may never say "Mom, I really appreciate your thoughtfulness" but every time you hear "wheee!" it will basically mean the same thing.
I get spam on old posts too, and they never have anything to do with the post. Whatever.
Aww... he wanted to play on the equipment. You could have taken hom to a park, but then he would want to go there all the time. Kids are so cute. I bought a baby pool for bruce and he spent an hour in it yesterday. No toys, either. Just a water bottle, grass and his shirt! He is so funny. I got him inside by offering him ice cream. 16months old and he knows what ice cream is!
I'm glad you found something. I know how hard it can be to find stuff!
Just because I didn't have the guts to post it under my name doesn't mean you had to slag it as spam! Geez!!
