I was going to rant to you about the doo doo heads that work for my husband. Their incompetence and lack of work ethic caused us to lose time with him this weekend. Now he will go 13 days before he gets a day off and the day he gets off will be spent at the Tampa Bay/Saints game. I'm glad he gets to go but I'm sad that we missed a chunk of family time. *sigh* I'm not going to dwell on it. What's done is done.
It would appear that the days of morning walks with neighbor are over. We were unable to go Monday or Tuesday because of her training. Wednesday she canceled, Thursday she didn't answer the door. Friday I called to tell her I had to pass on the walk so I could get my grocery shopping done before my husbands lunch break and she didn't answer the phone. I haven't seen her at all since Tuesday. She has taken on a job in the evening so I don't know if that is the culprit or not.
I couldn't walk this morning because my pest control man comes on the first Monday of every month. I heart him! He asked me about any pest troubles we had this month and I told him about a mouse who tried to chew his way into my cat food container and the snake that keeps shedding in my shop. He sprayed my house inside and out as well as took measures to deal with the snake and mysterious mouse. He did it all for the same 25 dollar fee he always charges. He reassured me that the opossum we saw running along the top of the fence the other night should be no threat to us. I had no idea there was so many "pest issues" in Louisiana until we moved here. It makes sense with the climate and all. I'm glad we found him I was so discouraged when we moved in because I was cleaning like a mad woman and it didn't do any good! Now I know it's not me it's where we live. I love love love my pest control man.

I love my pest control man too...Joe is the best...except he charges me 65 bucks a pop...I feel a little violated compared to your 25 snackers (but maybe that's a plus?). I could never live as far south as you do...with all those pests...damn...the spiders must be HUGE!
Pity he can't spray for co-workers!
Chick- I haven't seen any scary spiders (like the one you put on your blog) but you should see the size of the cockroaches!
Rainypete- I like how you think! Now I just have to figure out how to make that happen!
Purring- EXACTLY! I bet it's comical to see me go in the shop. I open the door WIDE, flip on the light (from outside the door),scan the room, then enter very slowly (just in case).
Aren't you glad that you found a good pest control man? BTW: Where did you say that snake was? WE have the same climate here in Houston and we have some of the same problems here, no snakes though.
pest control? they'll die when the snow comes---we just wait it out
Lucy-We have a laundry room and a shop just off our patio (attached to the house. It's sort of a workshop. I'm hoping we can take care of this little fella now that the pest guy has helped.
Lorna- I'm afraid they will just move inside. It doesn't get real cold here.
