I've been working on my taxes and I have our Federal and Louisiana taxes completed but for some strange reason we have to file taxes for New Mexico as well. So I started them on the Tax Cut software and came up with a 6 dollar refund. WHY would I pay 24 dollars to get a 6 dollar refund? I wouldn't. SO I went to the New Mexico e-file website. When I plug my info into their worksheets it says I OWE 721 dollars! OWE! I can't figure out where the problem is. It's so frustrating. Free filing to PAY $721.00 or PAY $25.00 for a $6.00 refund.
Which one is correct? *sigh*

Yikes. A discrepancy like that can't be a good thing...I hope you find the mistake, and that it ends up being in your favour. Good luck!

I'm trying Turbo Tax for the first time this year.
I have never used Tax Cut, I use Turbo Tax and have never had any problems. What a bummer! Good luck! I hate doing taxes!!!

I had a good tax year back in '67. I got a $69. return and bought a '61 Volkswagen convertible. If I ever get another tax return, I'll never get such a bargain, but with that knowledge, I think I'd head for a music store and buy all the music I keep hearing about but can't persuade Dave i need....
