Hang on! It's Random Crap time!

My little boy has finally started going to the bathroom on his own. I mean unattended! Up until yesterday he wouldn't go unless we came with him. Yesterday he comes up to me and says,"I went potty mom." I start to panic thinking he wet himself. "You NEED to go potty?" I ask dropping my dishrag and heading to the nearest bathroom. "NO. I already went potty. All by myself. I'm a big boy. Big boys can potty all alone." It may not be a big deal to you but it certainly is a big deal here!

I went for a walk with CCB on Sunday afternoon and on our first lap we get accosted by SEVEN dogs! All at one time! Did you hear me? SEVEN! The first one I saw is just a little fella and we've seen him before no big deal. When we get close enough I start to speak to him. THEN these 3 other little dogs come from no where and start swirling around our feet! It was like a military movement or something! CCB keeps on walking but I slow down. I'm afraid that they will nip at my heels so I keep looking back. That's when I saw the 3 BIG dogs coming! One of them tags along with us all the time. She's never been threatening. The other 2 dogs however are new to me. I start to panic. CCB keeps coaxing me. Come on. Don't stop. All I could think was that it was easy for him to say that when he had that big stick I didn't have anything! Whew! We got through and there were no dogs on the second lap. Today we walked and it was almost as bad. My neighbor went to the dog catcher office to see if anything has been done. The lady told her she would get to it when she could. 2 of those dogs have been complained about nearly a year! *sigh* Good thing we carry a big stick.

I know! I can be quite long winded at times! Good job hanging in here!

I missed working out for 2 days and gained 3 lbs. That's just not right.

Did you know that there was such a thing as Egg Nog ice cream sandwiches? OH BUT THERE IS! Blue Bunny makes it and it's fantastic! Hey, maybe that had something to do with the 3 lbs I gained....

Are you still there?

I need some sort of crafty project to work on. I'm getting bored. I don't have enough beads to do another ornament. (I've done 2 now.) I don't have enough yarn of the same color to make an afghan. Perhaps I should make something "patchworky" out of all my scraps. Huh. I dunno.

Are you bored yet?

My husband has found that he likes Chai tea frappuccino's from Starbucks. Do you know how happy this makes me?! I don't have to feel guilty for asking him to stop there anymore! HE asks ME to stop. I LOVE IT! (Side note: Spell check has Starbucks listed!)

Since he's found that he enjoys the Chai so much I've picked up several different brands and kinds to try at home. He likes them frosty and cold while I prefer them hot. So far they don't taste nearly as good cold as the Starbucks stuff. We're still experimenting. Did you know that Lipton makes vanilla caramel truffle tea? Well they do and it's tasty too!

Well done! You made it to the end! I bet you thought it would never get here.

At no point was I bored. You had me glued to my monitor once you wrote of eggnog ice cream sandwiches.

I'm glad you survived the 7-dog attack.

Every year, I take all the bits and pieces of yarn I have and make a warm but crazy-looking afghan that I take to the downtown youth centre---some of those kids sleep outdoors---even in this weather. If only I lhad scraps of down filling....

Oooh Chai tea from Starbucks, I'm drooling. It's almost as good as their gingerbread latte.

Starbucks used to do gorgeous Chai muffins which were great with Chai, but they've stopped doing them. As well really, Zoe was pretty much made from them while she was inside me!

Nope...I wasn't bored at all...& I'm glad those dogs didn't get you.

Yes I made it to the end and I'm glad I did. How else would I have learned about egg nog ice cream sandwiches and the fact that you CAN get a husband to seek out Starbucks. I had given up on mine but think I will try again to get him hooked on something. Not only did I NOT know Lipton made carmel truffle tea, I didn't know there was such a thing. Thanks for the education!

"Big boys do it by themselves" works every time. Our grandson, JJ, was really hard to potty train. He was almost three and a half before he was "on his own"....I can't remember it being that hard for my kids....
