This thing is getting bigger.

Ok. So those people came back and talked to my neighbor on Thursday. They signed papers and returned this morning for more planning for this music video shoot.

Now I've slept bad all week and for the first time I actually got to sleep in. I had only been up for like 5 minutes when the phone rang. It was my neighbor telling me that the people from the production company were there and they wanted to talk to me about shooting some of the scenes at my house. I told her to stall them so I could get some real clothes on. This day was off to a crazy start.

I get dressed and cleaned up the kitchen as well as I can while telling my husband what was going on over the phone. Just as I hang up there is a knock at the door. At first all they want is shots of the front of our house and maybe a shot from just inside the door. That expands to the front of the house, our front room, our kitchen and my sons bedroom. This time they brought the production manager who has all the legal forms and so forth much more believable this time if you know what I mean.

Phenomenon (that's his name) explained to me what the video was about and a little about who he was. I liked him right off the bat. He felt comfortable teasing me about questioning his lack of shoes by pointing out that I wasn't wearing any either. It put me more at ease. They laid out their plans for the cameras as well as the ideas of each scene and then filed out. The production manager explained to me that they would be responsible for leaving my house just as they found it and that she would be bringing a certificate of insurance for me the next day so that I would be off the hook should anything happen. She told me how much they were offering to pay us for the use of our house. I can't count how many times she apologized for the men's lack of professionalism the first time we met. She said she understood exactly why we reacted the way we did.

We get to stay and watch the whole process and keep an eye on everything tomorrow as well. I went from being very skeptical to kinda excited. My daughter will be able to go to school and say she had a music video shot in her house. How cool is that? We are supposed to be able to get a copy of the video to keep and when we asked about the artist so we could find her cd to get her to autograph we were told she doesn't actually have one out yet so this is just the start (hopefully) of her career. That would explain why they came trolling our neighborhood instead of using some sort of set wouldn't it? I don't know, it's still kinda weird I'm glad my husband will be home with me tomorrow. Keep your fingers crossed that this is indeed legitimate and that everything goes smooth.

I was in a hurry when I wrote this, so I hope it makes sense. I still have cleaning to do. They don't want the place to be spic and span because it's supposed to be lived in. My pride is getting in the way though because I don't want my house to be messy. I'm hoping to find a happy medium. Gotta get back to work!

I am glad you are comfortable with this, but I still tremble with fear.
