Take that!

So now that we're in a pickle the dryer decides to stop working. Isn't that just fantastic? I know that it will cost 80 bucks just to have the repairman grace my doorstep so I decide to take a crack at the problem myself.

You know what? It was easy! After seeing the inside of the dryer and all the parts. I don't know why anyone would ever buy a new one! It's so easy to work on! Armed with my trusty Internet I was able to diagnose the problem, figure out what parts I needed to replace, as well as find a local dealer to get the parts from. It cost me 36 dollars to replace the thermal cut off and the high limit thermostat. I didn't have to wait for the repairman or pay him some crazy high fee.

Yay! I was positively giddy after the repair job. It was like a high! I stuck it to da man! Woop woop!

In other news, CCB got a call from a company wanting to pick his brain about his former line of work. They want to pay him 150 dollars for an hour of his time. Sweet deal huh? Someone upstairs is looking out for us. I know it.

Gosh you're brave opening up your dryer, I think I'd be less scared doing brain surgery. Why don't you set yourself up as a dryer repairwoman and CCB can be a househusband, sounds perfect!

You are McGyver, I'd swear it, except I've seen you naked, and honey YOU are no McGyver!

Unless McGyver is "code" for extremely hot MILF!!!!

That's awesome that you fixed the dryer yourself. Kudos to you! Also yay for the extra mulla while CCB talks to the company.

Can you come fix my dryer, it is making a funny noise when I hit the "on" button.

I am truly impressed! I think fixing your own dryer deserves & reward (& I'm glad to see your CCB seems to feel the same way...got yourself a good man there!).
